Why do it?

So why am I doing a Thai Review?

So, why in the world would some random guy start a food review of all the Thai restaurants in Adelaide?

… why not?!

.

In continuation of the “Chow’s Review” series of food websites comes the much awaited 3rd season! Sure, reviewing schnitzels was fun and exciting and a few of us are just a tad curried-out by now from our previous reviews, but who can resist the tastes of tangy lime, spicy fresh chili and fragrant lemongrass! … what better way to celebrate with friends the fusion of Asian flavours whilst also tickling my food-fancies other than a full tour of Adelaide’s Thai Restaurants!
.

As per usual, I’ll be reviewing each restaurant with some criteria, but this time there’s going to be a bit of a twistI won’t be choosing what I eat, I will be putting my menu selection back onto the restaurant! Instead of being biased and choosing my favourite meals all the time, I’ll be asking the restaurant staff  what they believe their best dish is. Whether it be a basic pad-thai noodle or a complex ‘Kaeng Phet Pet Yang’ (roast duck curry), my culinary experience will be in the hands of the people who should be the experts!
.

I’ll be taking an average of four judging criteria  (each criteria score out of 10) :

  • Service : Being courteous and friendly whilst not letting me starve will be a good start.
  • Quality : I’m Asian. I’ve eaten Asian food almost everyday my whole life. I’ve got a fair idea.
  • Venue : Basic interior design and cleanliness can go a long way.
  • Value : Is it really worth paying thirty bucks for what might be two-minute noodles? Hmm…
    .

In addition, I may feature a special guest reviewer to further disperse any bias I might have towards my meal and to provide a more in depth coverage of the restaurant. The final score will be an average of both of our criteria ratings, and make sure to remember to check out who is winning the culinary leaderboard.

.

You might ask, couldn’t this turn out to be an immensely bad idea in letting strangers choose what I eat? … possibly, but it’s lucky that I have a rather low collection of foods in my ‘gross’ column, and if they want repeat customers and a good review it would be in their best interests to serve me something delicious and tasty anyway!

why dont you go to Madame Wu’s Restauarnt on The Parade, Norwood.
This is one of my favorite restauarnt, although it’s not a 100% thai restaurant, but it still got some thai dishes..
If you have time, you can try for that!

Yup, it’s on my backup list of places if I don’t have enough to reach 50 … I know they have good food there in general but unfortunately is a bit outisde the “scope” hence only making it to the secondary pile.
